Evanston's vibrant community celebrated the grand opening of The Aux on Saturday, marking a significant milestone for local Black-owned businesses. This innovative business collective is dedicated to uplifting minority entrepreneurs and providing a platform for their diverse offerings. With more than eight Black-owned businesses under its roof, The Aux aims to become a cornerstone of the community, emphasizing wellness and support for local residents.
Co-developer Jacqui White expressed her vision for The Aux as a place where community members can access a variety of wellness-focused services and products. The collective not only serves as a marketplace but also fosters connections among local entrepreneurs and residents, creating a supportive network for growth and collaboration.
The Aux is set to host various events and activities that celebrate Black culture and entrepreneurship, further solidifying its role as a vital resource in Evanston.
