Mid-Hudson Valley business calendar for the week of Aug. 3, 2026

August 3, 2026 - 01:53

Mid-Hudson Valley business calendar for the week of Aug. 3, 2026

A fresh lineup of networking sessions, workshops, and seminars is set for the Mid-Hudson Valley over the next seven days. Organizers say the focus this week is on small business growth, digital marketing basics, and local hiring strategies.

On Monday, the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts a morning coffee meetup in Kingston. The session runs from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at a downtown coworking space. It is free for members and ten dollars for nonmembers. The topic is how to use customer reviews to improve your online reputation.

Tuesday brings a lunchtime webinar on payroll tax changes for 2026. The Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation is running it. A certified public accountant will walk through recent state and federal updates. Registration closes at noon the day before.

Wednesday afternoon, the Orange County Small Business Development Center offers a two-hour workshop on writing a simple business plan. It starts at 3 p.m. at the Newburgh Free Library. Seats are limited to twenty people, so advance signup is required.

Thursday evening, the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly after-hours mixer at a farm-to-table restaurant in Monticello. The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. It is a casual chance to meet local vendors and service providers. There will be light appetizers and a cash bar.

Friday morning, a free seminar on hiring and retaining seasonal staff takes place in Poughkeepsie. The Marist College Center for Career Services is cohosting it. Human resources experts will share practical tips on job postings and interview questions.

All events are in person unless noted. For full details and to register, visit the individual organizer websites. Walk-ins are welcome at the Monday and Thursday gatherings, but other sessions require a reservation.
